Teens turning to volunteering jobs.
Its recession time and the teens seem to have read the situation better than the adults. The number of teens looking for a job has been declining from year. According to a recent survey, the percentage of teens turning to work is 38.1 percent this year which is a decline from last year turn out of 41 percent.
The reasons pointed out for this declining numbers is that teens have learned that due to more and more recession the adults are more in need of a job more than the teens. So instead of work your soul out for the entire day for just a few dollars, the teens are turning to alternatives. Some teens are volunteering in local farms and charity organisation and some are even starting their own small time business to help make their pocket money.
But the other side of the fact is that, the teens are the marginal to be considered for a job. The last to be hired and the first to be fired in the worst case especially in this economy. It is another case that still some of the teens are still trying hard to get a job to pay their tuition. Normally it takes a month on an average for a teen to get a job. But in this economy it takes longer than six months for teens to find a job. All said, economy still looks brighter at the end of the day. For the next couple of months, we all can hope and expect for things to get better and to turn out good.
